Ellie Kemper thinks an Office reunion special is possible. Yes, that’s what she said.
Speaking to EW at SCAD aTVfest in Atlanta, the actress — who starred as Erin, the always eager receptionist — weighed in on the rumors of a reboot of the beloved NBC comedy.
“I feel like we could convince Steve Carell to do one episode,” she said, before pointing to castmate John Krasinski’s suggestion of following in the footsteps of the U.K. Office by doing a Christmas special. “Maybe people could be convinced to do that. I’m not speaking for them, but in my dream, maybe we could do one reunion.”
Back in November, Kemper, Jenna Fischer, and Ed Helms spent Carell’s Saturday Night Live monologue jokingly trying to convince him to do a reboot. Then, a few weeks later, even more of the cast reunited at series creator Greg Daniels’ house, further sparking rumors of a return.
